Lori-Anne Rheaume

Lori-Anne Rheaume was born on 03/09/1960 in Middlebury, VT. She is survived by her Wife Ellen Minde of Mesa, AZ. Her Father Kenneth D. Rheaume of Bristol, VT. Her sisters, Marie Burt of Port Henry, NY, Debra Rheaume of Bristol, VT, Stacey Isbell, from Bristol, VT, Kristina Hoadley of Enosburgh, VT. Her Mother Loretta Annette Rheaume and her only brother Kenneth D. Rheaume II, as of last year, are now in Heaven waiting to greet Lori. Lori had a fasinating life. She graduated from Mount Abraham Union High School in 1978. She was presented fitness awards for outstanding achievement in the Presidential Physical Fitness Program. She was in Varsity Softball, Varsity Field Hockey, and Varsity Basketball. Later in life she played baseball as well. I often told her that she missed her calling as a sports announcer. She then went into the Air Force 2 weeks after graduation. And served in Intelligence at a base in Nebraska. She then moved to Arizona and hired on with the Arizona Department of Highway Patrol from September 21, 1990 till December 31, 1998. She was in the D.U.I. squad and while on duty was involved in an injury accident. That led to back surgery and an accidental disability retirement and ended the career she absolutely loved. She recovered from her back surgery in VT. And at that time entered Nursing School at Greenfield Community College and earned her RN degree. She was also a Nanny for a time, and a Security Guard for a bank in 1985, a Phlebotomist and a Physical Therapy Technician along the way. She even said she bagged groceries after getting out of the Air Force as that was the only job she could find. Her last employment was for ICE giving medical aid to the detainees at the Pima County Jail in Florence. She was diagnosed in October of 2012 with colon cancer and fought valiantly until July 15, 2015. She wanted nothing more than to take care of people and put others in front of her own needs or wants. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, and Aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a faithful employee, encourager, and teacher to all. She lived life to its fullest and her smile and enthusiasm for life will be truly missed. Until we meet again in Heaven with our Heavenly Father. Services are being held at Desert Cross Lutheran Church on Sat. 25th at 10:00 AM 8600 S.
