Tyrice Montell Brooks

Tyrice Montell Brooks was born August 26, 1976 in Phoenix, Arizona to Pamela Wade and Tony Ramon Brooks. He was raised in Chandler, Arizona by his mother, Pamela Wade, and his stepfather, Ronnie Arbuckle (deceased). Tyrice leaves behind his parents, Pamela Wade and Tony Brooks as well as his children, Tyrice Darius Brooks and Tyrice Anthony Brooks. His siblings are Nekeita Learned, Staclyn Wade, Maurice Walton, Monet Arbuckle, Chase Arbuckle, Legend Brooks, Anthony Brooks (deceased) and cousins Tyrone Byrd, Stacey Gibson and LaTanya Butler, who were more like siblings than cousins, along with a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tyrice spent his childhood engrossed in sports like so many other boys and this is when his passion for athletics began. He played sports like basketball and wrestling but fell in love with football. He began playing pop warner football in 1985 where he met friends that would become friends for life, one of which is Jarod Hargus. When Tyrice and Jarod met, they instantly became friends. Tyrice would spend weekends and summers with the Hargus’s and his mother would often have to force him to come home. Tyrice made friends wherever he went, most friendships lasting a lifetime. He shared a very special friendship with Faith Vasquez as well as friends who were more like brothers and they are: Paul Cox, Jack Weaver, Lethan Olvera, Troy Ransom, Shelton Colter, Ben Hill, Neville Lewis, Monk Johnson, Robert Vergos, Adam Kline, Casey Hurlburt, Aliek Williams, Mike Denny, Antoine Smith and many, many more. Tyrice married Jessica Marie Martinez (deceased) and although the marriage did not last, they raised a smart and respectful young man, Darius. Tyrice worked and attended the University of Phoenix until his health began to fail him. Although, he faced many medical challenges, he fought the good fight and tried to never let it get the best of him. During the later part of his life, Tyrice reconnected with a high school girlfriend, Letha Lamb. The two got pregnant later in life and had a fun loving baby boy we call Papas. Although his life ended too soon, Tyrice lived life to the fullest. He made friends wherever he went, loved hard and always had a smile on his face. He will be forever remembered in our hearts.
