Nancy Anna Hauser

Nancy Anna Hauser (Nee Zufan) Nancy Anna Hauser, of Sun Lakes, AZ, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2013 with her husband and daughter by her side, in her home following a lengthy and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer and breast cancer. She was 63 years old. Nancy was born on July 8, 1949 and was raised in the Midway airport area of Chicago, IL. She met her closest childhood friend, Barbara Del Favero in the second grade, and they remained close friends through the years and would often reminisce about the good times they had growing up. On October 21, 1978, Nancy married her husband, Jim and she moved to Joliet, IL with her daughter. She started her career with Illinois Bell Telephone Company (Ameritech) in 1968 and retired in 1999, after 31 years of service within various departments. She excelled in her career and was given many commendations and sales awards through the years. After retiring, they moved to Sun Lakes, AZ, and they enjoyed traveling to various parts of the United States and just spending time together pursuing various hobbies. Nancy decided to start a career in real estate as an agent, first with Coldwell Banker Success Realty in Chandler in 2003, and then transferred to West USA Realty Revelation in Chandler, AZ. Then she went on to further her career by becoming an Associate Broker. She was especially proud of the awards she earned that included, the West USA Realty Revelation 2011 Genesis award, 2011 Pillar of Excellence award, and 2012 Inspiration award. She was affectionately called "Fancy Nancy" by her office co-workers. She loved selling real estate and genuinely liked all the people she worked with at her office and her loyal clients. During her real estate career, after seeing a need for better service in the market, Nancy and Jim decided to start a small business installing wooden real estate sign posts called Hauser’s Post and Sign Installation. They owned and operated it together until May 2013. Nancy enjoyed living life and liked playing "Mexican Train" Dominos with family and friends, traveling, watching movies, cooking and baking, cross stitch, country line dancing, shopping, and garage sales. She loved to find a great sale! Nancy is survived by her husband of 34 years, James A. Hauser; daughter, Joanne (William) Polyak of Shorewood, IL; sister, Linda (Jeffrey) Pinasco of Manassas, VA; a half-sister, Hedvika Kunovjankova of Czechoslovakia; niece, Lisa Pinasco of Woodbridge, VA; nephew, Michael (Kari) Pinasco of Woodbridge VA; nephew, Bert (Celeste) Hauser of Kalispell, MT; niece, Iva Redl of Sarasota FL; brother-in-law, Albert (Lorna) Hauser of Marion, MT; and many other nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Zufan; and a favorite uncle, John Zufan. Nancy was a good hearted woman, who was well liked and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Monday, June 10, 2013 at 9:30 AM, at the St. Stevens Catholic Parish 24827 S. Dobson Rd, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248. A Memorial Service will follow from 11:30 AM-2:30 PM at A Legacy Funeral Home, 1374 N. Arizona Ave. Chandler, AZ.
