Robert Frank Cole

On February 20th, very fittingly during “happy hour”, Bob was freed from his earthly struggles. Bob leaves behind friends and family who dearly love him, but know he will be greeted by so many he loved who are waiting for him in Heaven. Robert Frank Cole was born in Anaconda, Montana on August 2nd, 1956. He grew up in a small town where everyone knew his name, in a neighborhood full of friends, with cousins to get into trouble with and a family that thought he was simply the best. He loved wrestling, football, hunting, fishing and hiking. If we’re honest, he was never one to say no to an adventure, which led to lots of fun and a little bit of trouble! He graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and started his career with Texas Instruments. It was in Dallas where he met his wife Ruth. There was no turning back once they met, and together they moved to the Bay Area in California, where Bob began working for Rogers Corporation, a company and work he was proud of and loved very much. He traveled the world during these years. He spent much of his time on the East Coast, in Europe and China. Ruth and Bob finally settled in Chandler, Arizona, where they spent the last 27 years. Bob’s career with Rogers came to an end as a result of his health issues, but he then moved on to the most important career he ever had, raising his girls, Taylor, Miki and Jorji. He and Ruth found immense joy raising these three beautiful daughters and he truly found the most joy being with his girls. He is survived by his wife Ruth, daughters, Taylor, Mikayla and Jorjann; sister Cathy & Dave Meredith, Denny (Corona & Henry)Meredith, Jeff(Katie, Jack & PJ) Meredith, sister Judy & Gary Peasley, Greg and Nick; brother-in-law George ( Margie and Peyton)King. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Kay Cole, brother Mick Cole and Ruth’s parents, George and Cissy King.
