Sheila Marie Frishman

Frishman, Sheila Marie, 51, passed away on February 6, 2015 surrounded by her family. Sheila was born in Tucson, Arizona, December 10, 1963 to John and Edna Bess. She was the youngest of four, with two sisters, Kim and Becky, and one brother, Bill. Sheila attended St. Joseph Catholic School, Rincon High School, and the University of Arizona. Sheila spent 25 years in the legal field where she worked as a Paralegal for several companies, large and small, and eventually counseled for a local radiology provider prior to her illness. Sheila married the love of her life, Scott Frishman, on September 18th, 1993 and their family was completed with the addition of their beautiful daughter, Sierra, and charming son, Slater. Sheila had a zest for life that was contagious! She loved being active, water skiing, snow skiing, road biking, camping, traveling and so many other things, but she truly loved dancing. Her greatest joy, though, was being with family and friends, regardless of the activity or festivity. Sheila experienced a sudden illness four years ago that resulted in kidney failure, followed by on-going complications and challenges. She battled valiantly until she was called to rest, with her loved ones surrounding her. Sheila is preceded in death by her mother and father, Edna and John Bess. She is survived by her husband, Scott, children Sierra and Slater, brother, Bill Bess (Marcia), sisters Kim Foley (Joseph), and Becky Nelson, nieces Tracey Roberts, Crystal Campbell, Megan Shearon, and Angela Foley, nephews Mike Bess, Daniel and Brian Foley, four cousins, and numerous extended family and friends. She also left behind her beloved side-kick, the family dog, Synco. Her absence has left an emptiness that we pray will be replaced with peace and the strength to carry on in a way that will make her proud. You are invited to attend our Celebration of Her Life on Friday, February 13th at Red Mountain United Methodist Church, 2936 N. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, memorial service at six and a reception immediately following.
